Privacy policy
Last updated October 30, 2026
Deepsight Research runs focus groups, interviews and product tests for companies. This policy is written mainly for people who join our panel or take part in studies, and also covers people who request a bid or use our study lookup.
What we collect
- Panel signup: your first and last name, email, phone number (optional), ZIP code, confirmation that you're 18 or older, and any optional answers you give (age group, gender, interests, devices, apps and tools, job role and industry, and how you'd like to take part), plus your consent choices.
- Bid requests: company name, contact name, work email and the study details you share.
- Study lookup: the Study ID and Participant ID you enter, used only to find your study.
- Studies you take part in: screener answers, your responses during the session and, where you agree, recordings.
- Technical details: to protect our forms from spam and abuse, we record the date and time of a submission, your approximate country and basic browser information. Our forms also use an automated security check to confirm that you're not a bot.
- Site analytics: we use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to count page visits and understand how the site is used. It doesn't identify you or track you across other sites.
How we use it
We use participant information to match you with studies, contact you about them, run sessions and pay incentives. We use bid requests to reply and prepare proposals. We won't add you to unrelated marketing lists.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
What our clients see
Companies we run studies for see only what's needed for a study you agree to join, such as your screener answers and your feedback. We don't give them your contact details, and they aren't allowed to contact you directly about your answers. Your study coordinator is your go-between for any communication with the client.
Session recordings
Some sessions are recorded so the research team can review them. Depending on the study, the client company that sponsored it may watch the session live or receive the recording. We'll always tell you before a session whether it will be recorded and who will see it, and ask for your consent.
How we store it
Your information is stored with trusted service providers that help us run our website and business. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-controlled accounts. Access is limited to the people running Deepsight Research studies.
How long we keep it
We keep panel information until you ask us to remove it or we no longer need it. We keep study data and recordings only as long as needed for the study and any agreed follow-up.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or stop hearing from us at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email [email protected].
